Do you have a build with the SAVE function enabled!?

Deleted 15 days ago

that makes sense, it's been like a decade of development though so let me know if he or you ever make a version with saves

Fantastic! Thank you!

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed it. I'm working through LoZ on the Wii right now, and this was a real treat and a relief coming from that harsh world. You've put in a huge effort, clearly, into this passion project.

I downloaded Beta v0.5.1 using the Google Drive link.

My question is how much world is there currently to explore. I got 12 hearts, bombs, arrow & boomerang. I defeated the Aquamentus/dragon-type boss in the graveyard dungeon, and the Beamos/laser-type boss in the dungeon in the old tree. That gave a Triforce shard, and informed me that (like in the original) there are a total of 8 shards.

Can you tell me how many Triforce shards are in v0.5.1?

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Download link?

Does someone have the issue, that the .exe file directly wants to start in VR? xD

If i could use it via sidequest it could be fun though... xD

how would you go about getting a switch pro controller to work with this game on pc?  I dont use xbox controllers.

some of the inputs work but it constantly stops after awhile. i also have no way to swing sword.  is there some kind of workaround?

Save Option will be great

(-1)

Is there a way to play this without a computer

Is there a save function coming?  This game is so incredible I don't want to get very far because I lose all progress.  Or, is there a bug just on my computer where game isn't saving and should be?

(-1)

If i'm right, there was no save option in the original... so i guess there is none in this release, too...

(2 edits)

Sorry, you aren't right. The original LOZ for the NES used a SRAM chip and a nickel battery to save game data. I think production was stopped because of the fact it's a Nintendo product and Nintendo found it. There is no download button aside from what the dev provided.

you should add playable linkle or zelda as an option

(+1)

where is the download button?

This is my second time posting the download link for the game:

I shared the link because i had a feeling this would happen. Its a Nintendo property. Anybody interested i have the beta in my g drive here's the link:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/18QIQvgeveZBflBTofB9w28Mt3vZIp_E9/view?usp=drive."

Which file do I open to play the game?

awesome work! If you need an additional developer, let me know

I was having so much fun, but I wish I could save at the save point so I don't have to "start" all over again from the beginning of the map. Also, if I somehow quit the game or restart my computer.

How can we save game in this awesome and unbelievable game?

Huge Zelda fan here. I was so looking forward to this. Unfortunately I am unable to get this to work. I have tried everything. I keep receiving the "Windows Cannot Access the Specified Device, Path or File" Error

I have a problem, what I have is beta 0.5.1 and it doesn't save my game, help

There's been rumors of a potential Zelda remake being announced later this year. Might be why. Remember what happened to AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake). Got "Ninja'd" and then out of nowhere Nintendo announced Samus Returns.

AMR2 was much better than Nintendo's version though 🤣

el archivo esta dañado

El archivo no esta dañado, estoy jugando sin problemas. The archive is working! Thank you!

te recomiendo que lo ejecutes como administrado

Graci!

el juego salva?

Not working this link

This is awesome! Thanks for making this one. This should be a resume for N.

I have a problem, what I have is beta 0.5.1 and it doesn't save my game, help

Do you know why the version you linked doesn't seem to have save states? Or was that just never added in despite what the dev showed?

Damn. lol i think they took down the link already

I think so, I can't find it anywhere, so frustrating

Luckily I downloaded the demo as soon as I saw an article about this, because I know that publicity is the death of these kinds of projects.

It's awesome, and I recommend that you continue to work on it. But you'll need to change the name, change any references to Zelda in the game (the Triforce, the music / sound effects that came from Zelda, call the heart pieces and containers something else, get rid of the "Buy something will ya" quote, etc.) and release this game as your own creation. It's good, and being LIKE Zelda isn't a crime. But using their intellectual property will get you taken down every time. People buy and play Zelda-like games all the time, and there are even lists of the best Zelda-likes. You've just gotta make sure it's not infringing on copyrights and trademarks.

(-2)

You wanna share?

Is this no longer available to test?

Kinda weird that Nintendo took this down when they have never really made an effort to remake NES games, and it's not like it'll deter sales from their NSO service, especially when considering Zelda Special Edition.

So, basically, Nintendo is selfish and stupid. Again.

(1 edit) (+5)

Again? Since when has Nintendo NOT been selfish and stupid? 😂Not really a surprise.

(+4)

Nah Cuz Sega hired a guy who made a fan based Sonic game and they released a wonderful game instead of taking it down, Nintendo can loosen up a bit, it doesn't really hurt them

(+5)

Yes those poor poor devs who worked so hard on this game aren't able to eat now because 40 years later you downloaded a remake of a game they've fully abandoned.  Thankfully some incel named "marijuanaisking" is here to save everyone and have an opinion in between swigs of mountain dew

(+2)

No it's people like you that think just because something is a law, that automatically makes it correct and good.

Only someone without critical thinking in their head would even suggest that. Someone without critical thinking is the dumbest kind of person of all.

Get back to the circus before the realize you've escaped again.

This isn't about entitlement. This is about artistic expression. You think you're entitled to act like you're somehow on some type of pedestal of moral high groundedness, when really you're down on the ground grovelling and licking boots for some corporation that doesn't give a flying f**k about you, other than what they can milk from you for selling the same game to you for a 5th time.

(-2)

The critical thinking part is where i remind everyone of rights to intellectual property,  which is the basis for why these things get taken down. Believe me, i love to see things like this fully realized, but until Nintendo welcomes these independent developers with open arms instead of a cease and desist, we will continue to see these masterpieces pulled from public view. That law is enforced strictly because, the moment it isnt, a precedent is set for Nintendo to be "ok" with their characters' names and likenesses into free public domain which will result in Nintendo losing rights to those characters. Nintendo seems so evil in our eyes because of this, but they are just protecting their babies.

(+2)

Laws aren't necessarily rights. You learn this when you go to school. IP isn't a "baby". That's idiotic. IP laws are unjust at their core. It's art, just comodified in the most predatory way imaginable. Please don't defend awful shit and try and pass that off as critical thinking. Art has been around since before our species was differentiated from other apes. Predatory IP laws have not. One is a good thing. The other feeds greed and stifles creativity. Please read a book that does not require crayons. This is not a hard concept to grasp.

And remember, boots are for feet, not for eat.

Would love a link to test

How do i download this

For android

I like the way the game looks like. But I am having a issue of my own. Not the game. It's my PC and it's running only 8 GB ram. Plenty of storage space. I have a Toshiba satellite older laptop. And I am able to play game. But! I can barely run the game.  It stutter on the PC not the actual game it self. I even lowered my property value to windows service pack 2 and lowering the game resolution and everything. Still nothing can be done. I know if you lower it any more it will bad graphics of course. But I am willing to do it. Just to try this game out. I know I won't be able to see the whole gaming graphics. I just have to deal with it.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks.

I've gotten to the windmill cutscene after the graveyard and can't seem to find a way to move forward. Is that where the beta ends?

I couldn't figure out how to open a door in the underground graveyard. I get to a room with a button but can't proceed.

yes

(+1)

This is what I call love. What a game.

Does anyone know how to turn off motion blur through the engine or user settings ini? Tried several options with no luck.

(+3)

For things like this, the gaming media needs to keep their mouths shut.  We all know what happens when a certain company finds out about these fan remakes, see AM2R, the NES Metroid remake project,  or the ZeldaVR project on Oculus as prime examples.  The moment main stream media published an article, the project owners got the “cease and desist” nasty-gram from the lawyers. If these people really cared about gaming and supporting the industry, they would not write such articles.  But these “I just sell my stuff to any news outlet that pays” people don’t care that this will get shutdown the moment they sell their article to someone, they just want the $$$.  This is why I refuse to support the gaming journalism community anymore, they don’t really care about gaming, just milking us for ad revenue no matter the cost.

Thanks a ton. If I had to guess, the recent attention this project got from gaming journalism sites finally put it on Nintendo's radar, and they quashed it.

Exactly my thoughts man. I saw this coming.

Thank you so much!

No problem man

The true hero of Hyrule

Thank you!

What a legend! I knew the second these new articles caught wind that Nintendo's lawyers wouldn't be far behind

Thank you so much!
